| Conversion is a simple
matter of using Model, Save below the 'File' menus.
A standard file pane opens in the view as
shown. A choice of export formats is available including
.OBJ, .3DS, .DXF, .LWO and .COB. the latter being aimed at
users of 'TruSpace. The chosen format is selected and 'Save'
does just what it says on the tin. The file MUST conform to
the limitations of the selected format. Save takes again about 30
seconds or so for this file. It should be noted that, depending on the gCoding software employed it may be necessary to check the compliance of the chosen format in a utility like MESHLab. There can be some variation in interpretation of 3D formats.. .DXF and .OBJ are notoriously non-standard in their implementation. This process can be applied with substitution of 3D Exploration 1.5 for Lithunwrap.. Making it faster and easier to perform. Unfortunately 3D Exploration is no longer available at David H Smiths website, thanks to less than intelligent posting of the link.
